Eugenia Mullenix, LMFT, BCBA, LBA-CT

-
therapeutic schools
She is passionate about children on the spectrum as well as those children with intense social, emotional and behavioral challenges. With Mrs. Mullenix’s experiences working closely with Department of Children and Families (DCF), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), schools (both public and therapy), probation and parole, she can assist families who are struggling with their school district in ensuring that their child(ren) are receiving the most appropriate care in their school. There is no issue that Mrs. Mullenix (no matter how small or big it may seem to the family) is not willing to undertake and support.
Our Leadership Team

Alijah Gonzalez
Behavioral Technician (BT) and Social Media Manager
"Being a part of Around the Hearth has provided me with valuable opportunities to develop skills and techniques for working with a variety of children. It truly feels like family with all the support that is available. I am excited for what the future holds as I continue to grow and advance in the field of behavioral health."
Peter Virgo
Social Media Manager

"Around the Hearth is not just a job for me; it's a family and a place to grow. As someone doing social media and learning operational tasks, I feel supported by staff and supervisors and am currently learning how to better my care for the children we work with through indirect means. I believe I wouldn't be where I am today without the help of those around me at ATH. ATH shows me each and every day what its like to work with those passionate about supporting children, and allows me to grow as an individual and as someone representing a mental health agency."
Our Team

Charlie Wall
Behavioral Technician (BT)
For the past 10 years, I worked as a special education teacher at a high school in Georgia. After recently relocating to Connecticut, my top priority was finding a job with a supportive team. When I was looking at potential employers, I knew I could bring valuable experience to Around the Hearth, while also learning new skills to improve my teaching methods—especially when it comes to supporting autistic students.
At Around the Hearth, we work with children of all ages who face various behavioral challenges. Through on-the-job training and direct guidance from the team, I am constantly learning how to better serve the kids. In return, I bring a decade of personal experience and a genuine love for working with children to the table. This unique combination has actually helped me completely reshape my classroom management plan (the strategies and routines teachers use to keep a classroom organized, focused, and calm). The staff and kids here have built a wonderful rapport which makes for a fantastic work environment. Our manager and lead clinician, Eugenia, is incredible. She is always happy to share her expert knowledge to help us grow and provide the best possible care for our kids."
