Family Therapy

Family therapy looks at the family as an emotional unit and can improve communication, resolve conflicts, and deal with issues such as stress, grief or anger. Family therapy may include all members or those most willing to participate and promotes boundaries, communication and positive family dynamics.

Some common goals for family therapy include navigating troubled relationships with your partner, children, or other family members, understanding financial problems, helping support family members with cognitive or behavioral issues, and helping family members who suffer from substance use or mental illness.

Our therapist has a postgraduate degree and is credentialed by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

However, at Around the Hearth, our therapist Eugenia Mullenix is also uniquely qualified to help family members with children who have behavioral health issues as she is both an LMFT and Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
